Eszter went from a fairly timid youngster and was a swimmer until picking up mountain biking at the University of Colorado.
Since getting started on the bike in college, her adventures have been big. She's won 24 Hour nationals, set the record at the Arrowhead 135, and holds the women's record on the Tour Divide. She shattered the women's record at the Iditarod Trail Invitational this February and tells listeners about her thoughts about a trek to Nome in 2014.

Chainring setup and selection has become a HOT topic in the world of mountain biking. Mountain Bike Radio got wind of Wolf Tooth Components back in February 2013 at NAHBS in Denver and has been following how things have unfolded. We were lucky to track down a very busy owner of the relatively new company!

They caught up on the season and talked about the upcoming Iceman Cometh race in Michigan. Mackenzie is a definite favorite going into the 2013 Iceman. In 2012, she finished an extremely strong 4th place, only two seconds off of first, behind Georgia Gould, Emily Batty, and Heather Irmiger.
By piloting a tandem for the U.S. National Paralympic Team, she won gold, silver, and bronze medals at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, China.

Who is Bob McCarty?
If you were down in Florida, you wouldn't be asking this question. Bob is a well-respected and looked up to racer in the Southeast. He is someone Drew has looked up to as an up-and-coming mountain biker back in 2005. Bob has been racing mountain bikes at a high level since the 1990's, including an 18th overall in the 2013 ProXCT series. He also runs a well-established Mountain Bike Skills Training business in the Miami area called McCarty Training.

Guitar Ted shares what he found at Interbike in Las Vegas. Three areas of cycling have really taken off.
Fatbikes have blown up over the last three years and now companies are commonly offering carbon goodies, including forks, frames, and rims. Many other fatbike options have also come to market, including tires, gear, and other components. This year the 27.5 inch wheel size has taken over this year's news and it has become a mainstay in many company lineups. In the background, the gravel riding scene has been experiencing huge growth in rides and races filled to capacity.
