Host Drew Edsall is joined by Rotem Ishay and Skyler Trujillo while on location at Interbike in Las Vegas. Rotem is a 9-time Israeli National XC Mountain Bike Champ and Skyler is one of the top young racers.
Listen in as they discuss everything from blood testing for performance and recovery to the Cross Vegas race and the Boo Bus. Listeners will get some great insight into Rotem's studies and how they apply to performance.
The Boo Bicycles - TrainingPeaks Cyclocross team will be based around young and promising Colorado riders Skyler Trujillo and Rotem Ishay. Both riders are focused on taking their racing to a higher level over the course of the season with a schedule that will take them out of their natural Colorado habitat and to UCI races all over the country.
Skyler caught the nation’s attention by being selected to race in the U23 Cyclocross World Championships last February in Louisville, KY. Though Rotem raced a more regional cyclocross schedule last year, he had strong results against local professionals and has three medals from Collegiate Mountain Bike and Cyclocross Nationals to his name in the last year alone.

This is great episode filled some some of the "hot topics" in the mountain biking world. The gang discusses carbon wheels, gravel bikes, fatbikes, the Surly Krampus, and Interbike, with a dash of armadillo thrown in.
It's a full hour packed with practical bike talk with a small dose of four-letter words.
Bonus content during the show: Kenny hates the 29+ platform.

With that great summer behind him, he went back to his bread and butter of racing the Chequamegon Fat Tire Festival. He took his 5th win of the popular Midwestern race. Listen in as he discusses his race, what it's like to win a 5th Chequamegon, and other reflections of the race.

This is an episode from 2012 that is now making the archives and app.

Tim joins the show again to discuss his latest adventure, the Vapor Trail 125. He tells his story of what it's like for someone coming from near sea level in Duluth, Minnesota to the high alpine terrain of the Central Rocky mountains to begin a 125-mile, 20,000-feet-of-climbing race at 10pm and finish a dirty, beaten, and triumphant soul.

The discussion about armadillos continues on from last week's show. They crawl, they squeal, they jump out in front of you. Listen in to hear more about those weird little creatures.
They share their experiences at this past weekend's Skool of Hard Nox 50 in the Tombigbee National Forest. Andrea took the win, Matt had a bad day, and Kenny sounds like it went ok, despite a possibly heart attack, stroke, or perhaps just a lack of fitness and toughness. We'll let you decide.
The discussion of race tshirts became a lengthy, somewhat spirited debate about what they should be. If race directors want an honest opinion, this is the show. Bottom line, don't just give out whatever shirt is cheapest because it's likely to end up as a rag...immediately.
If you don't have time to listen to anything, at least skip to the end and listen to the screeching armadillo. Warning: don't be drinking anything when you do.
Be sure to check out the Twitter discussion that was going on during the show.

Jeff Kerkove joins the show to discuss his recent experience at the Breck Epic in Breckenridge, Colorado. He, along with teammate, Yuki Ikeda, took the win in the 6-day Men's Duo Category. They had a great race all week, taking the win in each of the individual stages. It did not come easy though. Jeff and Yuki pushed each other hard, raced as a team to get through the painful climbing and enjoy the sweet, flowing singletrack to grab the final #1 and much coveted belt buckle.
The Breck Epic is a 6-day and 3-day stage race based in the middle of one of the best mountain biking areas in the country and world. It is composed of large, backcountry loops between 35 and 50 miles run in a cloverleaf format; each loop starts and finishes within a mile from downtown Breckenridge and utilizes the sprawling network of trails in both Summit and Park Counties.
The Breck Epic's first rule? It's "Don't Be a Dick."
