The Path Podcast Show Page

ABOUT THIS EPISODE:

Nathan, Auk, and Tani get a long time dream going by getting some of the guys from Santa Cruz on the show. They go through a little bike history about where Santa Cruz Bicycles was first housed and what else was in the building - including the remote barn office.  They get a little history of van life, prior to the hashtag and a little personal history on how to get REALLY fast (hint, commute with the TT state champ). The guys get the scoop on how Greg Minnaar pushed the 29er DH bike, and much more.  Tune in and hear this great episode.

The Path guys welcome all of your questions and encourage you to send them an email with the subject "Podcast Question" to podcast@thepathbikeshop.com

The Path Podcast Show Page

ABOUT THIS EPISODE:

The whole crew isn't present, but Nathan, Auk, and regular guest Brendan get a show going for you. Normal shop news starts the show with special Kona models on sale at the shop June 7th through June 18th - 12% off and no tax.  The new Santa Cruz Nomads are in stock - which leads to a big discussion of how to measure bottom bracket height, the guys discuss how Santa Cruz has very carefully not called the new Nomad an "enduro bike" which begs the question: is a long travel 29er coming? They continue on with a comparison of EWS to 24 hours of Le mans and downhill is like top fuel drag racing, why races should be on Sunday, and how Brendan's van build has shaped up.

A Girl Who Rides Show Page

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Andrea is joined by Chelsea Camarata, the founder of Kaden Apparel. Kaden Apparel is a new womens's specific cycling clothing company based in Vermont. Listen in to hear about the company, the Kickstarter, and get a great feel of the woman behind the products.

ABOUT THE KADEN APPAREL FOUNDER

Kaden Apparel was founded in Burlington, Vermont, in 2013 by Chelsea Camarata. Chelsea’s passion for biking began many years earlier and she continues her active participation in the sport by getting out and riding as much as she can and continuously working to further the women’s mountain bike scene through outreach and women’s ride days. The idea for Kaden was born out of her frustration with the selection, or lack thereof, of women’s mountain bike clothing. The necessity for high-quality, ladies specific bike clothing, that is both functional and fashionable, was apparent.

Chelsea began prototyping and testing her hand-made garments with some old sewing machines, in her dining room. Eventually getting her designs to the level of quality she was looking for, she began working with an American manufacturing facility to produce the line. Kaden’s moisture wicking fabrics are specially designed to keep women riders dry for even the longest rides. Designed by riders, Kaden Apparel is dedicated to making the best clothing for women cyclists.
