ABOUT THE EPISODE
Eric Porter is a mountain bike adventure athlete, environmental advocate, dad, husband and all around good guy. Eric Porter found his love for the sport as a kid in Louisville, Kentucky. Eric got his first job at the local bike shop and it was on from there. In 2001, Eric won both the National Downhill and Slalom Championships. He has won mountain bike and freeride competitions all over the world.
These days, Eric lives in Midway, Utah with his wife and two young sons, while pushing himself in the adventure riding world, checking out seldom traveled places by bike and inspiring people to get out and explore.

The Point to Point course is a true point 2 point. Thanks to the plethora of trails, you will never be on the same trail twice. You will be riding singletrack for over 90% of the race (that’s a lot of 1-track) and the total distance is 75 miles with around 12,000′+- of climbing, all while traveling through two of the country’s premier mountain resorts. It will challenge your mental prowess, yet it will have you grinning from ear to ear.

They’re a fantastic example of a successful grassroots organization. They focus on building Bicycle Playgrounds that increase the Bicycle competency in kids, so that future generations are capable and comfortable with using a bike to get around.

Brent is a Trail Builder with the North Shore Mountain Bike Association and focuses on the Upper and Lower Griffen Trails on Mount Fromme.
