Colin has had some great feedback as usual, and here’s a highlight from Mark Saunders:
Hi Colin, Just a quick message to say hello and thanks for the podcast which is how I found your website. Keep up the good work there aren’t enough mountain bike podcasts out there. As for a request I am looking at F/S bikes at the moment can you recommend a decent one for a budget of around £1500
Regards
Thanks, as always for the kind words Mark. As to your question, have a look below for some info on the What Mountain Bike guide which aims to answer this. But, I will cover this stuff in future podcasts. It’s something Colin is asked a lot (for all sorts of price brackets and bike types) so he'll definitely be filling a hole there.
In this episode Colin the What Mountain Bike guide to new listeners. It’s something Colin has been working on for the past two years to answer all of the questions that he gets from beginners and upgraders.
It’ll help beginners decide what type of bike to get in the first place, and it’ll help experienced bikers decide on what to upgrade, when and what brands to buy. The guide is currently available to read here on the site, or you can download a Kindle copy on Amazon for the lowest price he can make it.
Please let him know what you think of the guide – email me on the contact form, or drop a comment below.
Colin has had a bit of contact with Trail42 as they’ve launched and grown over the past couple of years. It’s been great to see the success of their ethical mountain biking kit, such as the bamboo biking tops they produce which he has covered in the past.
Colin thought it’d be interesting to chat to Ruth about the company and plans for the future, so he asked if she’d come on the Podcast. They ended up talking products and biking and trails in their local area, so if you’re interested in the mountain biking industry or trails in the SW of England, then this’ll be worth a listen.
