Just Riding Along Show Page

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

The normal crew is together for a show filled with listener questions about suspension. Andrea starts the show off with cliffhanger, Matt has a big bike on loan, and Kenny is loving his Stumpjumper. This is a great, fun show that runs on the long side due to tackling a ton of tech about suspension. If you ride rigid or your eyes glaze over at the mention of low speed compression – this may not be the show for you.

SHOW DONATIONS

-Chris Harrod of California gave $5 with note: Thanks for all the effort you guys put into the show. I know how much work goes into recording a podcast weekly. -Chris – From Northern Californiaasdf
-Logan Mullen of Ohio gave $10 with question: Hi friends! I’ve been listening to every show for about a year now and am finally got around to saying thanks for being awesome. I also have a questions and a comment about my 2017 Diamondback Release 3. Comment: a listener recently asked about the carbon Release (I think the 4C and 5C replaced the Release 3 in 2018), and I wanted to add my two cents. I love my Release 3 except that the paint scratches really easily. The wheel set is DB house brand but I have had absolutely no issues with them in a year of riding, and the rest of the spec is awesome for the money. Question: I just had the Guide RS brakes on this bike bled for the first time by my LBS because the brakes got really spongy, like levers almost touching the bars, after one season of riding straight from the factory. The bleed helped a little but they still feel way too spongy. LBS said they could call SRAM for me but they weren’t sure what the problem was. Have you ever encountered this problem with Guide RS brakes? The LBS doesn’t do much high end mountain bike work, but I went to them because they are a block from my house. Maybe I should call SRAM myself, or maybe get them bled again at a shop that sees more mountain bikes and hydraulic brakes? Lack of shop support is one of those drawbacks of buying a direct to consumer bike I guess. Never change, Logan from Ohio (yea it’s not Salida but the riding here is actually a lot better than you might think!)
-Jonathan Kidwell of Maryland gave $25 with note: If I had a time machine, I would go to the future and have a smile on my face because of all the amazing Matt rants I was lucky enough to hear. Keep up the good work and thank you all for the honest assessment of what’s on the market.
-Jarid Colucci of New Jersey gave $100
-Braden McGuire of British Columbia gave $25 with note: This is for Andrea to buy the most powerful Marijuana edible she can find, then eat it right before recording a show.
