In her latest post, she comes to the realization that, during the current pandemic, the best decision is to not to do an event she has prepped for over the last year. This is an audio version of that post. Enjoy and stay healthy!

The guys also review the various jobs Luke has had related to cycling in the Bentonville region, which include: AirBnB host, web developer, bike shop employee, Rapha Popup Shop employee, multiple positions at Bike NWA, and most recently the coach of the H.S. Gravel Racing team, quite possibly the first and only H.S. Gravel Racing program in the nation.

ABOUT THE EPISODE

THIS EPISODE IS BROUGHT TO YOU BY JENSONUSA

Guitar Ted sits down with Marty Larson from The Heywood at Impact Coffee Bar in Decorah, Iowa to discuss The Heywood, which is planned for May 16, 2020. Listen in as they chat all about the ride, the area, and why you should head over to Northfield in May.

What is The Heywood? “The Heywood is a gravel road ride taking place in the rolling countryside south of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro plex. We call it Deep South Metro. You may know it as Northfield. Northfield is a college town of approximately 20,000 people. We have a thriving downtown with cafés, bakeries, and lots of stores with actual personality.

Rather hang out in the woods? We’ve got that covered too. Nerstrand State Park and Caron Park are a ten-minute drive from our start line. Both are on route even! In other words, bring your family! There’s lots to do.”

ABOUT THE EPISODE

MTB Ben kicked off his year with a trip to an event in Pittsfield, New Hampshire. Pedal4Paws was a fat bike and snowshoe event to benefit The Animal Rescue League of New Hampshire held at Camp Graylag, which is a 300-acre woodland preserve on secluded Wild Goose Pond in Pittsfield, New Hampshire. He sat down with Madison, Amy, and Eric Kriete to discuss what the event is all about, how it got started, how it helps animals in need, and history about the Graylag area. Ben had a fun time, so watch for next year's event.

ABOUT THE PARK CITY SPECIAL SERIES

Ben headed out to Park City, Utah in June to check out the area's riding, the people involved, and take in the great experience that the area has to offer. As someone who has never spent time in or around Park City, it was an eye-opening great experience. It's definitely a world class destination worthy of consideration for a mountain biking vacation.

A special thanks to Mountain Biking Park City, Park City Lodging, Deer Valley Resort, Jans Mountain Recreation Experts, and everyone involved with putting this together. A huge thanks goes out to Scott House for being our host/guide and all of his time, knowledge, expertise, and hospitality. Also, a big thanks to Eric Porter for allowing us to try to follow his wheel on some great trails.

ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Nathan, Tani, and Auk are back for the first episode of 2020. They lead things off with news and then get into an entire tire discussion. Then you get a little dash of suspension, a dollop of chains, with some fork offset thrown in for good measure.

The Path guys welcome all of your questions and encourage you to send them an email with the subject “Podcast Question” to podcast@thepathbikeshop.com
